Why a Derby Hat or Fascinator?
Well, why not? For generations women in the South have been wearing fabulous hats and fascinators to derbies, tea parties, luncheons, and anywhere else that they want to show off or outshine their neighbors. If they can do it, so can we!

Your
designs can be big and bold, whimsical and witty, sedate and seductive (or
any other combination of adjectives) - but they must all be fun to create and
to wear.
Winner to be announced between 3:30 and 4 pm
In order to be considered for judging, and thus eligible to win
one of the prizes, your design must be at Stony Creek Bead no later than 3pm on
Saturday, May 10.
We
hope that you will come a bit early and show off your creation. However,
if you cannot be here at that time, we will accept them earlier.
RULES
1.
Some of the beads or materials must be purchased at Stony Creek
Bead. (It's our contest, after all.)
2.
This should be a new creation, not previously entered into any other contest.
(Because you should have a new hat or fascinator as often
as possible.)
3. To be considered for the Grand Prize, your creation must be
wearable. (While wall art or statuary pieces are admirable, this contest
is all about beautiful head gear!)
Yep, that's right! We have decided that everyone who enters will get a prize, and
the Grand Winner will receive a $75 gift card to Stony Creek Bead and a $50 gift card to LushLapel.
So, put on your creativity caps and get designing!
